The project was born around year 2003. It has taken me five years to start writing about it and making it public. People interested in participating, please post a comment. Suggestions on songs, venues, band members are welcomed.The objective?
To present the best set of concerts in year 2023. Mr. Yves Casablancas is an amateur singer (but the band will not necessarily be so).
How will it be done?
Since 2003 until 2018, Mr. Yves Casablancas will select the core of the set lists to be presented at each concert. All songs will be covers (except someone from the band provides another alternative). Mr. Casablancas will hold the complete discretion to select the songs for each concert.
From 2019 to 2020. Selection of the band. People who wants to participate can start posting from now to get into the trials in 2020. More details to be posted.
From 2021 to 2022. The band rehearsals.
In 2023, the band will do a set of presentations in different small venues under the name “The Yves Casablancas Project & Band”. In each concert the band will perform different songs or versions of songs already played, so the public will never hear the same song again. Ticket costs will be announced few days before each concert.
Any other special characteristics of the project, albeit being the first set lists prepared 20 years in advance?
The Project will focus not only to provide a unique experience in music but also will contemplate to satisfy the public visually.
